ENGAGING THE WORLD THROUGH MISSIONS AND MINISTRY

At Northside Baptist Church, we do not believe that missions is just a one time event or week long trip to another country.  Rather it is how we live our lives.  Missions is the work of going into the world, engaging the world, and making it a better place by advancing Jesus’ Kingdom vision through words of hope and redemption and through acts of service and compassion.  We believe that as a church we are to equip people to be on mission with Christ so that they can engage the world around them through acts of service and compassion.

Northside Baptist Church supports a variety of missions activities locally and around the world.  Northside also offers a variety of opportunities to get involved in these ministries and we hope that you will join us as we help people in Corsicana and around the world experience life in all its fullness!

REPAIR WORK AT JESUS de NAZARET summary

We have officially ended taking day trips down to Houston to help with repairs of Iglesia Bautista Jesus de Nazaret.   Here is a summary of our work down in Houston:

  • We took a total of six day trips down to Houston over a period of four months to help make repairs on the church facility.
  •  A total of 25 different individuals took part in the rebuilding process.
  • We raised and contributed $17,760 to put towards the repairs.
  • We partnered with Central Baptist Church of Livingston, Texas.
  • Each church provided professional level repair work.
  • The bulk of our work included the installation of insulation, drywall, interior and exterior doors, flooring, wiring, HVAC, custom made cabinets, trim work, etc.

As you can see from the photos below, it was a huge undertaking.  Although we made significant progress there is still work that will need to be completed by the members of Iglesia Bautista Jesus de Nazaret.  Please be in prayer for them as they continue to move forward in their repair efforts and in their ministry to this part of Houston.
