CHILDREN

At Northside, the children’s ministry (grades 1st through 6th) seeks to provide several opportunities for children to learn and grow in Christ. We offer a wide range of fun events and programs throughout the whole year that your child will be able to participate in. It is our greatest desire to help children lay a foundation in Christ that they can build upon for the rest of their lives.

Midweek

Our Wednesday night program, Fishers, is offered from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. This is a unique program for our children’s ministry that encourages children to learn more about who God is and who we are in Christ.

Children’s Bible Study

Bible study is offered on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Here, children meet together with others their own age to listen and learn stories from the Bible.

Family Events

Throughout the year, Northside provides activities for the whole family to enjoy such as our Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk-or-Treat.

Summer at NBC

The summer months are packed full of fun for kids! Vacation Bible School, Fun Days, and Summer Camp are all a part of our mission to tell children about the love of Jesus Christ and build relationships.

TOTAL COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING A "SAFE" PLACE FOR CHILDREN

At Northside, we are totally committed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our children:

  • All of our children's workers/volunteers must pass certified criminal and sex offender background checks

  • All children's workers/volunteers must complete MinistrySafe training

  • Northside has a church security team in place to monitor our facilities

  • We have rooms specifically designed for the care of children ranging from birth to students in sixth grade

  • Our children's/pre-school department has a safe-room for use in case of bad weather or other emergencies

In addition to these safety procedures, we look after the heath and wellness of our children:

  • Restroom facilities are located in both the children's and pre-school departments

  • Classrooms for younger children have their own individual restrooms

  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are located in each department

  • Toys and facilities are sanitized after use

  • Record of any food/environmental allergies for each child are posted for teachers
